My life. My body: Caitlin Thorn
During the week you’ll find me:
In the mornings you will find me walking along the coast with the reward of a coffee and Yelo, my favourite cafe in Trigg. Then I’m off to work with the wonderful team at Life Ready Inglewood. In the evenings you will either find me hanging out with my beautiful little nieces or catching up with friends for dinner.
How are you looking after your one life and one body?
I look after my one life and one body by always doing what makes me happy, eating healthily, exercising regularly and spending time with the people that matter most.
What’s your favourite way to exercise?
I enjoy mixing up my exercise routine as I tend to get bored easily! I find that doing different styles of exercise mean that I stay interested and also conditions different aspects of a healthy body such as strength, flexibility and cardiovascular fitness. At the moment I enjoy pilates, bikram yoga and the occasional pump class.
What’s your daily go-to health habit?
I go through phases of focussing on a variety of daily health habits, but one that I have always stuck by is eating a balanced diet. I never feel guilty about rewarding myself but do try to make sure that my next meal balances that extra coffee or macaroon!
What’s your current health goal?
My current goal in Pilates is to master a full leg extension ‘Roll Over’. I’m also making more of an effort to have a strict routine with exercise to help with motivation and to ensure I prioritise it higher in my day.
How do you relax?
I like to relax by spending time with friends, eating good food and enjoying Perth’s beautiful sunshine in the summer time.
What motivates you to be healthy?
My biggest motivation to be healthy is that I want to be open to all opportunities in life. I never want to be limited in doing something really awesome because my body is holding me back.
